I could not be more saddened. My heart and best wishes go out to you and your family. You're father was a good man who just happened to be a great artist at the same time. Please let us know if there is anything that I can do.
He will be missed,

I went to Gene's drawing classes a few times with a friend of mine. I only met him once or twice, but I remember noticing that he seemed to exude such a sense of peace and joy. (And he was such an amazing artist to boot!)
I am so sad to hear of this...my thoughts are with you and your family. :(
Such sad news. Gene was a kind hearted man, and a huge talent. ~Don
Gene I just saw you last week ... :-(
We will miss you.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Gene was an awesome, amazing sculptor, and a really nice guy. I had no idea he was ill, I'm terribly sorry to hear of his passing. Best wishes to his family--we lost a wonderful artist.
Gene was one of the most encouraging artists at Walt Disney Imagineering. His workshops were inspirational and he was one of WDI's most talented sculptors.
My Deepest Sympathy,
Ethan
I'm so sad to hear the news about Gene. I worked with him off and on for twenty-something years. In the early 80's he was the guardian of the WED carpenter shop, and he taught me everything you could want to know about power tools. I haven't seen him in six or seven years. I'm very very sad that he's gone. He was a gentle soul and a true artist. Here's some links to some pictures of happier times - Gene at a party at our old house in I think 2002. This first picture is of Gene and Gerod: http://www.pariarts.com/mus/hq/images/luau9B.jpg
This second picture is of Gene, Alison and me: http://www.pariarts.com/mus/hq/images/luau33B.jpg
I remember he had a great time that night... in fact I think he spent the night!
I'll sure miss him, and my best wishes to you and your family during this hard time. He was a terrific man!
My brother Gene was one of the neatest guys I have known in my life. There is such a void in my heart without him but also a warm spot in my heart reserved for eternity because of him. We both shared the same love of creating art...he the man with a piece of clay always wedged in his hands whipping out a miniture masterpiece and I the high school art teacher trying to instill the love of art in young people and creating on my own. I will love and miss him forever.

I have a plaque for Gene Wiskerson from Disney. It's pretty cool looking. If any of Gene's friends or family would like it I'd be happy to give it to you.
